This is not your typical Rolls Royce. The model is a 1939 Phantom III but the car itself had some additional custom work done in the 40's. The car has a V12 engine and could reach 100 mph. Only 719 of this model were made and originally sold for $10,000.
I once again used Topaz Simplify to create a background which is more painterly in an effort to separate the car from the background. I also had to do some heavy cloning to get rid of the information placard which was between me and the car. Probably spent way more time that the picture deserves, but once I started I just couldn't stop until I had something reasonable. I don't think the cloning looks too bad at lower resolutions, but I don't think it would hold up at full size. Maybe I'll print it to see what it looks like.

Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing 1955
Meaning Sport and light, this 300 SL one of the fastest and most powerful cars of its time. The first road car to ever to use an injected engine, the car was the direct successor of the racing versions that won many races. The Gullwing doors were unique by opening up due to the tabular chassis needed to pass through the sides. The steering wheel could fold down to allow for easier entry and exit. This model is currently regarded as one of the most collectable cars in the world. About 1400 units only were produced.
His Majesty the late King Hussain of Jordan recived this car in 1955 and used it for the first ever Rumman Hill climb in 1955 which he easily won. King Hussain also used it to win the Lebanese Hill Climb Race in 1958. The car always remained as one of His Majesty the late King Hussain’s favorites, and it was restored yo its original condition by Mercedes Benz Germany.
The car is displayed in the Royal Automobile Museum in Amman, Jordan.
